Players, including college students, must be a legal resident of the County at the time of the qualifying event and the Championship proper. Players who travel for work will be reviewed by the Committee on a case by case basis. Players in college can compete for the County where their parents or legal guardians take permanent residence; certain age restrictions will apply.
Every players Amateur status is subject to review by the Committee, the CDGA/USGA, as is player conduct.
In ties NOT decided on the course, players will split points for the positions tied. For Example: Two tazwood players tied for 3rd in the Tazewell County Amateur. Each player would receive 40 points (Points for 3rd + 4th = 50+30 = 80 Points/2 Players = 40 points/player).
Players may receive points starting in January of each year. Points will be final on December 1st of same year. All inquiries must be submitted/settled by this date. Teams will be chosen in the Winter the following year's team.
