2022 POINT SYSTEM FOR JUNIOR RIVER CUP QUALIFICATION

Please inform us if your age is incorrect or we have you in the wrong city!
PLAYERS PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
High school attended must be located within Peoria, Tazewell, or Woodford County.
High school points are for the previous fall season.
It is the responsibility of the players to check the points and contact the points' keepers of any discrepancies before the above deadline.
Regarding out of area events, such as PREP TOUR-player must notify us of tournament results!
In ties NOT decided on the course, all players get the points for the place tied for; i.e. - in
the conference tournament two players tying for 2nd gives both players 25 points, 4th
gets 15 points
For the prior Fall, 50 points will be the cutoff for HS to gain points on the system

All members of the top 3 teams plus the next 10 highest scoring individuals NOT on any of the advancing teams advance to the sectional. Players on advancing teams who would have advanced as individuals had their team not advanced will receive the advancement points. Advancement earns 20 points
For Junior River Cup scoring, players will be given the following points:

Same format as regional! The point system is as follows:
Medalist-----70 5th place-----50 Advance to State-----35 (as an individual

3rd place----60 7th place-----40 that would qualify as an individual)

20th place represents a finish in approximately the top 15% of the State Finals field.

USGA JUNIOR AMATEUR (3.5 handicap to enter)
Qualify from Sectional to National--80 (medalist 90 -10 additional points)
36 holes qualifier for match play----100 (80 plus 20 additional points - medalist 110)
Each match won----------------------10 points;
win one match------------------------110 total point;
win two matches---------------------120 total points;
win three matches-------------------130 total points;
win four matches--------------------140 total points;
win five matches---------------------150 total points;
win six matches(champion)-------160 total points
(Medalist would have 10 additional points for each match; i.e. - if medalist - 170 max)
ILLINOIS STATE JUNIOR AMATEUR(IJGA)
Qualify from Local to State-----40 points; make 36 hole cut - 10 additional points
Medalist-----80 6th place-----55 11th place-----30
2nd place----75 7th place-----50 12th place-----25
3rd place----70 8th place-----45 13th place-----20
4th place-----65 9th place-----40 14th place-----15
5th place-----60 10th place----35 15th place-----10
Winner would get a total of 130 points.
IJGA, NIKE, CIJT, PREP and MAJGT TOURNAMENTS: points the same as Peoria Junior Opens
AJGA TOURNAMENTS: A player who gains entry to an AJGA tournament will get 20 points. Points for placing will be the same as the Illinois State Junior Amateur.
36 hole events or more will receive "double points" If championship criteria is met. Players who qualify for "National Championships" such as but not limited to the BIG I will get 50 points. You must have gained 25 points to qualify.
For the PPD JR series events, you must place in the top 5 to earn points, not just against your respective county.
Ages 12-13 top 2 qualify, ages 14-15 top 3 qualify with 1 captain's pick and 16-18 top 4 qualify with 2 captain's picks. Ties will be decided by the Captain! We reserve the right to alter age qualification: such as, but not limited to adding players to the older division in place of younger division.
