It is the players responsibility to update the point keepers with high finishes before the deadline.

Junior River Cup Competition
Each side (Peoria, Tazewell/Woodford) will roster 12 golfers.  Each team will be comprised of 8 High School Players and 4 Junior High (or younger) Players.
High School -  Top 5 Point Qualifiers plus an additional 3 Captain Picks.
Jr. High School - Top 2 Point Qualifiers plus an additional 2 Captain Picks.
A player must have started High School (1st day of Freshman Year) to be eligible for the High School Team.
While it is the intention of the River Cup to compose rosters as described above, the River Cup Foundation does retain the ability to adjust the number of golfers between Jr. High and High School divisions due to participation levels.

Junior River Cup Qualification Process
High school attended and residence must be located within Peoria, Tazewell, or Woodford County.
High school points are for the previous fall season.
Players are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their own points.  Please inquire through website with any questions/discrepancies.
Points will be considered final on July 1st of the competition year.
Qualification Period:  Prior Year High School (IHSA) and Junior High School (IESA) Season plus
Tournaments from January 1st – June 30th of the competition year (Tournament must be completed by June 30th)
(i.e. For Summer 2026 Junior Team, Fall 2025 IHSA and IESA Season plus tournaments from
January 1, 2026 – June 30th, 2026)

In ties NOT decided on the course, all players get the points for the place tied for; i.e. -  Conference tournament two players tying for 2nd gives both players 25 points, 4th gets 15 points

Win 4 matches-----180 total points;
Win 5 matches-----200 total points;
Win 6 matches(champion)----220 total points
(Medalist would have 30 additional points; Medalist/Champion – 250 total)

AJGA TOURNAMENTS
A player who gains entry to an AJGA tournament will get 20 points
Points for placing will be the same as the Illinois State Junior Amateur (see above).
 
NON-LISTED TOURNAMENTS
Please reach out through the inquiry form for tournament results not listed in above.  The River Cup Foundation will evaluate the tournament and make a determination of points on an individual tournament basis.
Examples may include Illinois Junior Golf Association, Mid-American Junior Golf Tour, ETC.
When submitting a tournament not listed above, please provide the following information:  Tournament Name & Date, Finishing Position, Age Division, Golf Course, Number of Holes, Number of Participants

Players who qualify for "National Championships" such as but not limited to the BIG I will get 50 points

Note: For all events, you must place in the top "X" position to earn points, not just against your respective county. 
No 9 hole tournaments will be awarded points
The respective Captain will break any ties for the final qualification spot.
