We would like to introduce you to the River Cup Foundation, a central Illinois organization dedicated to the game of golf and its future.

The Foundation is a federally approved 501c3 not for profit Illinois Corporation, whose mission statement is to benefit youth and worthy charities in the Tri-County area through the game of golf. We also provide college scholarships to central Illinois residents, promote golf competitions and serve the game by sponsoring a youth golf clinic and increasing awareness of the important issues facing the game through our benefit dinner. This is accomplished with an all-volunteer Board of Directors and no paid staff.

The River Cup Foundation, which was chartered in 2000, is an outgrowth of the River Cup competition, a Ryder Cup style format showcasing the Tri-County's top amateur players. First played in 1993, the players developed the idea of forming a foundation to not only showcase the competitions but to also support charitable activities in their communities.

The River Cup Foundation strives to bring the benefits, attributes, values and resources of the game to the people of central Illinois. To show them what the game truly stands for-- the value of sportsmanship, respect, honesty, discipline, hard work and integrity. We believe the game can help youth do their best and reach their highest potential.

We will continue our philanthropic endeavors for the care and welfare of children with special needs. Golf and giving do go well together!
